A now-page tells you everything the writer of the page is currently up to. See here for more information. Unlike typical now-pages, I have decided to stack newer entries, because that’s just easier for me. Jump to the right month using the buttons below:

May

May started with my birthday. Well, my birthday was the third, but same difference. For my birthday I got the long-awaited Sunrise over the Reaping book (which I finished in two days and has left me utterly devastated) and a glass dip pen I've wanted for ages, and some inks. I also got a Harry Potter puzzle AND game my parents scored at a thrift store. I haven't played or puzzled yet but I'm very excited about it.

So I read Sunrise over the Reaping, and I’m now rereading The Hunger Games again. Haymitch has always been my favourite character so it’s been a joy reading from his perspective. Going back to Panem is always a treat. Other than that I’m going through the last bit of Philosopher’s Stone and into Chamber of Secrets and I’m planning on reading another book as well, but I’m not sure which one. I’ve got a few options so we’ll see which one I’ll end up with!

We also had Remembrance of the Dead on the fourth of May and Dutch Liberation Day on the fifth, but I don’t really do too much on those days in terms of celebrations or public things or anything. I just watch some things on television. Now I’m preparing for the Eurovision Song Contest, which we watch as a family and quite bigly as well, and on the 23rd it will be my grandmother’s birthday, so that’s pretty fun as well.

I’m also going to be visiting another group home and make my final answer on if I want an intake or not sometime this month. We’ll see.

April

April started out with me completely confused it was already April, haha. The months go way too fast. For April I read Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (book three) and I read One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest for the first time which was pretty interesting. I also reread Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in April. I always try and keep the books on a rotation so the story remains fresh in my mind for writing (and because I can’t not read it).

April is also the month of my father’s birthday, which we celebrated, and of Easter, for which we held a nice brunch. As April moved on I worked more on this site and I wrote more of my fanfic. I still need to put it on here so for now you can only read it on AO3 or elsewhere, but it’s coming along nicely if you ask me.

At the end of the month, of course, we got the sad announcement the Pope passed away. The funeral coincided with King’s Day and I watched both on television. Aside from that, I also went to visit my possible new home, a group home for people with autism, and readied myself for my birthday on the third of May.
